Don was recently a double winner
at the King Eagle Award Show in Nashville when he
received the "Living Legend" Award for his hard work
and contributions to the world of music. Then he
was called back to the stage and presented with a
Kentucky Colonel's commission from Governor Patton.
This has been a lifelong dream of Don's, and since
he is a native Kentuckian, this made it even
sweeter! Then a few weeks prior to these awards,
Don's signature song "When The Grass Grows Over Me"
picked up 'Country Song of the Year by the TCMA, and
was awarded "Legendary Songwriter."
